What kind of work do you take on?
Senior / staff-level backend roles — contract or full-time, remote, CET timezone. Long-horizon engagements where I can own a domain end-to-end. Distributed systems, payments, high-throughput platforms, Java-first but polyglot when needed.
Do you do hourly consulting?
Rarely. I prefer longer engagements where I can actually understand the system before prescribing changes. If you have a very scoped problem (perf audit, review of an architecture doc), email me — we can talk.
Are you open to speaking or writing?
Yes. Happy to speak at conferences and meetups about distributed systems, backend design, or the boring parts of production reliability. Guest posts are fine if the audience is the right fit.
What stack do you prefer?
Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot is home. But I've shipped production code in Python, Node.js, and a bit of Go. I pick the right tool — not the trendy one.
